The former Wachovia building was purchased by Mr. Charles Whitener. Mr. Whitener is planning a formal news conference and press release regarding the details of the purchase and plans for the building sometime within the next 2 weeks. Mr. Whitener is currently working closely with RDDA and is excited about his investment in the Rossville community.
The RDDA completed the sale of 1 of 3 properties recently acquired by the City of Rossville and subsequently transferred over to the RDDA for development. The aging Roy's building and $275,000.00 to completely restore the property. The sale will allow the property to once again return to the tax roll and provide new jobs to the downtown business district.
